"2008: This Year We Believe God!"

Dean Inserra

Happy New Year to the entire family of the Well!  What an amazing 2007 we experienced together!  The highlight for my immediate family was the fulfillment of a life-long calling to start a church in Tallahassee
that would take an everlasting truth to an ever-changing culture.  As a new Church we also celebrated our first baptisms, the birth of two beautiful babies (Riley and Karsyn), the marriage of Jessica and Austin Glass, and the engagements of Lawton and Sarah, Bennett and Sally, and Mike and Rebecca. What an exciting year!  My prayer for 2008 is to see our Church become a movement of people who actually believe God is still at work today.

As I read my Bible over Christmas, I was constantly moved by the unwavering faith the early Christians displayed on a regular basis.  They literally believed and expected God to do amazing things.  I want to pray bigger prayers, and dream so great that the only explanation for the things we will see at the Well in 2008 is that God is at work in Tallahassee.

This Sunday, we will begin a new series entitled "See Forever."   We will discuss how we can look ahead as a Church and experience something in our city that we have never before seen.  The four part series will be as follows:

Jan 6: See God
What would happen if Christians in Tallahassee truly believed that God was as alive today as He was in the New Testament?

Jan 13: See Tallahassee
What if a Church in Tallahassee actually got off their spiritual butts and connected with the culture?

Jan 20: See Each Other
Can you imagine if people at the Well actually thought the person sitting next to them at Godby was more important than themselves?

Jan 27: State of the Church Address
Where are we going as a Church?  How are we going to get there?

I hope you do not miss out on an exciting start to 2008 at the Well.  Let's believe together that God loves Tallahassee and wants to use our Church to make that truth known!
